Actually we were so inspired that we have all thought of entering the next Berghaus Dragon’s Back Race™ as runners.

The 3rd Berghaus Dragon’s Back Race™ is over and it is clear from the deluge of emails and social media chatter that the event has, once again, had a profound impact on the competitors and event team alike. The comment and commentary is universally superb and the event has confirmed its reputation as a world-class ultra running expedition experience.

The 2015 Berghaus Dragon's Back Race was incredibly privileged to have the team from Slackjaw Film on board for the whole week. With the able assistance of ex-Dragon's Back champion Helene Whitaker providing authentic narrative, this team were able to shoot and edit in almost real-time during the race, keeping supporters from all over the world right up to date.
The 3rd Dragon's Back Race closes
The Berghaus Dragon’s Back Race wrapped up this evening with the presentation ceremony at the Llandeilo Rugby Club.Race Director Shane Ohly spoke about the spirit of the event. “The competitors set the tone for the race,” he said, “with their attitude and approach and it’s a pleasure to be with so many friendly, happy people who are simply motivated to run in the hills. I know there are friendships made and tears shed (by racers, organisers and marshals) and that everyone will have memories to last a lifetime from the past week.
Father & son finishers
Among the finishers of the Berghaus Dragon’s Back race at Cerreg Cennen Castle were the father and son pairing of Glenn and Huw Davies, certainly the first father and son pair to finish the race, with Huw the youngest ever finisher too.
Mann wins the 3rd Dragon's Back Race
There were no surprises on the final day of the Berghaus Dragon’s Back Race with race leader Jim Mann crossing the line to claim the winner’s trophy and Jamine Paris following soon after to be the first female finisher and second overall.

It’s day 5 of the Berghaus Dragon’s Back Race – the final day of this iconic mountain run and those who have made it this far know the finish is within reach ... just 56.5km of and a crossing of the Brecon Beacons still to go!
Reservoir runners
Day 4 of the Berghaus Dragon’s Back Race took the remaining runners through lower and fewer hills in central Wales today. There was still 64 km to cover but only 8 checkpoints and 2273m of climbing.
