RAW ADVENTURES RECCE EVENTS

RAW adventures are an established Snowdonia based outdoor adventures operator, owned by qualified Mountain Leaders Kate and Ross Worthington. Kate has been involved in the Dragon’s Back Race since 2015 and has led on all official recce’s since 2019, so has extensive knowledge of the Dragon's Back Race route and skills required to take on the dragon!

With professional planning and delivery in all weathers, the guided recce events are a great way to build confidence on the challenging Welsh terrain and get ‘feet on the ground’ experience of the route and navigational requirements. The official recce events are open to anyone interested in learning more about the Dragon’s Back Race route, so if you’re DBR curious or stepping up your training ahead of the 2025 event, these recce’s are for you! Plus, a great way to meet other like-minded people along the way.

“I really don't think I would have achieved it this time round without your support, knowledge and constant positivity. RAW have given me so much confidence, especially given the crazy weather we've had for training over the last year. Please pass on my thanks to all of your team!

"The Missing Link Coaching group was one of the most rewarding things I signed up for in preparation for the Dragon's Back. It gave me the confidence to train well, benefit from the expert knowledge from the coaches and learn from others in the group. During the race I grew in confidence throughout the week and realised the training was paying off. I learned so much from them from training and pacing to nutrition and recovery. Anyone considering the race would benefit."

"Joining the Missing Link Coaching group was unquestionably the best decision I made in preparing for the Dragon's Back Race. Sarah’s advice, support and tailored training plans gave me the accountability, consistency and confidence I needed to take on and complete the challenge. And the regular webinars with all three coaches and special guests meant that every base was covered in detail ahead of the race. Being part of a group meant that I had friends during the week, too. Strongly recommend!"
