Updates from our Dragons in Training
Getting out to train in the winter months can sometimes feel hard. When it’s dark out and you can hear the wind howling, it can certainly feel tempting to stay inside where it’s cosy and warm rather than lacing up your shoes and going out for a run in the elements.
However, this isn’t stopping our intrepid dragons in training! This month we asked you to send in your training pictures and you delivered. Read on for some of our favourites.
Snowy Lake District adventures
Simon has been getting out with some other Dragons in Training for some snowy outings in the Lakes for his training. It looks chilly, but those views certainly look worth it!
Braving sub zero temperatures in arctic conditions
Further afield, Adam has been braving some pretty extreme temperatures in the snow in Lapland for his Montane Dragon’s Back Race training. Hopefully we can expect much warmer conditions for the actual race in September!
A casual Sunday FKT
For his Sunday long run, Ben went with a friend to tackle an FKT attempt on the Penrhys pilgrimage Way all the way from Cardiff to Penyhs. Completing the tough 21 miles in 3 hours 31 minutes, they succeeded in getting their FKT!
Tackling the Mud-Fest
With the winter months comes the rain, and with the rain comes mud! Fortunately, some of our dragons in training have been embracing this – thanks to Kevin and Kieran for sending in pictures of their muddy outings!
