February updates from our Dragons in Training
Spring may be rapidly approaching but there is still a definite chill in the air. There is no stopping our dragons in training though. Read on for this month’s updates from our Dragons in Training!
Recce Event fun with RAW Adventures
Without a doubt, one of the best ways to prepare for the Dragon’s Back Race is to recce the route. Fortunately, our Event Partner, RAW Adventures, offer some great Official Recce Events. These photos are from a recent Day 4 Recce Event.
Training is better with a friend
Far from the rain and cold of wintery Wales, Philadelphia is doing her training in the Australian summer. Luckily, she has an unusual training buddy to help her get through those strength sessions!
There’s always time for a parkrun
Winner of the 2022 Cape Wrath Ultra®, Graham, has set the Dragon’s Back Race® as his next big target! He’s been kickstarting his training with some shorter 5k efforts at parkrun.
Taking on Offa’s Dyke
Nathan has been getting some long runs in with an impressive 21 and a half miles over a section of the iconic Offa’s Dyke route which follows the border between England and Wales.
Tackling a practice race
Training is going well for Darren Saunders, who did a 70km trail race in February. It’s excellent practice for his bigger effort on the upcoming Dragon’s Back Race®.
