RAW Adventures to provide official race recce trips
The Dragon’s Back Race® is pleased to announce a new partnership with RAW Adventures for the provision of official guided race recce trips for the September 2021 edition of the race.
These race recce trips will be managed by RAW Adventures, an established Snowdonia based mountain activities operator, with excellent knowledge of the Dragon's Back Race®.
RAW Adventures is based in Llanberis, Snowdonia, and owned and operated by Kate and Ross Worthington, experienced and qualified Mountain Leaders in summer, winter and internationally. Kate has worked on the Dragon's Back Race in 2015, 2017 and 2019. She also guided on every Dragon's Back Race recce event in 2019 and has a detailed knowledge of the most up to date race route.
These guided race recce trips will focus on key areas of the route to help you feel confident and prepared ahead of the main event. Choose from one or two days between August 2020 and August 2021. Get some useful tips and advice from your running guide who will be a Mountain Leader and have direct experience of either working on or participating in the event. It will also be a great chance to meet fellow participants, find genuine running partners for the 2021 Dragon’s Back Race, and have fun exploring Wales!
